Confirmation Bias

Confirmation Bias is a lot more common in news articles than we think. Every news source site has at least ONE news article that has a bias perspective. For the 2016 elections there has been plenty to persuade readers into believing what they want us to believe.

Ted Cruz and Donald Trump has been going at it head to head in the campaign. Trump has even went as far as making comments on Ted Cruz's wife.  In this article from CNN,  the opening quotes said "acting like union boss thugs" which was quoted from Ted Cruz speaking about Trump supporters. The article continued  about there misunderstanding but continued to talk about Ted Cruz's campaign thus far. It was like an article analyzing his speeches, his family, and Cruz's family. The media was trying to target voters that are family orientated. From the beginning it seem like the article would voice both opinions about both candidate but after stating their issues, the article became just about Ted Cruz.

The second article was about democratic candidate Sen. Hilary Clinton.  The MSNBC article has a huge photo of the Senator with the title The Presidential Campaign: Hilary Clinton. The article reflects back on Hilary clinton and how she is one of the most experienced candidates.  The article even speaks on one of her most memorable campaign.  Towards the end of the article it talks about how Bill Clinton also went on campaign rallies for his wife. The article has a bias stand point because it continued to embrace the senator and how great of a candidate she is.
